Cable insulation - A-C Polyethylene's are low molecular weight polymers which have proven themselves useful as processing aids in Polyethylene cable manufacturing. Their unique combination of low melting point and low viscosity coupled with electrical properties and general chemical inertness enables A-C Polyethylene's to enhance the cable properties. A-C 6A is used as dispersion aid for additives like Aluminium trihydrate in Telecom-jacketing applications. Using A-C 6A leads to a better incorporation and dispersion of the additives, which results in a better overall processing. A-C 6A is used in strippable semi-conductor applications to modify the strip force of the compund. A-C 6A in fully bonded semi-conductors reduces dye-droll, lowers the viscosity and improves the smoothness of the interface between the conductor and the dielectric. A-C 400A is used as a dispersion aid for Carbon Black in Medium voltage cable applications. A-C 400A minimize the fluctuations of the Dielectric Constant between different batches of the cable compound.
